About

Shorefront Jewish Community Council is a non-sectarian community-based organization that fights poverty through a broad array of comprehensive social services.  An organization founded on Jewish values of charity and deeds of kindness, Shorefront JCC serves everyone with dignity and empathy, regardless of race, ethnicity or religion.

Mission and History

The mission of Shorefront JCC is to improve the quality of life of low-income seniors and families residing in South Brooklyn by offering a wide-range of social services, support, and connections to vital resources that enable families and seniors to continue living comfortably and safely in their homes and communities.

I came to the United States in 2004. My wife passed away and my only child still lives in Russia. Bela helps me with any issue I have. I often am not able to leave the house and in those cases Bela comes to my home to help me with whatever I need. Without her help I would not be able to stay in my apartment.
