About

Shorefront Jewish Community Council is a non-sectarian community-based organization that fights poverty through a broad array of comprehensive social services.  An organization founded on Jewish values of charity and deeds of kindness, Shorefront JCC serves everyone with dignity and empathy, regardless of race, ethnicity or religion.

Mission and History

The mission of Shorefront JCC is to improve the quality of life of low-income seniors and families residing in South Brooklyn by offering a wide-range of social services, support, and connections to vital resources that enable families and seniors to continue living comfortably and safely in their homes and communities.

“I had an issue that I was not able to resolve. I was being double charged by two different communication companies for the same service and I was not able to get the issue taken care of on my own. I went to my case worker at SJCC who helped me file a complaint with the FCC. Three weeks later I got a refund for the amount I was over charged. I would never have been able to file this complaint without my case worker’s help.”
